kcalIngredients
2cups ground flaxseed meal
1/2 Psyllium Husk Powder (https://amzn.to/3heYXNQ)
1+1/4 cups lukewarm water
7egg whites (1cup)
1+ 1/4 tablespoons baking powder
1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
1+ 1/4 tablespoon yeast
1/2 teaspoon maple syrup (optional )
Directions
- Put parchment paper in a loaf pan (the size of the pan= 9in x 5in) or grease and flour the pan with oil and chickpea flour.
- In a mixing bowl, put all of the dry ingredients.
- Add the egg whites to the dry ingredients.
- Add the water to the mixture and thoroughly combine it.
- Place the mixture in the loaf pan, cover it with a towel, and keep it covered for an hour or so. (I prefer to keep it in the microwave for an hour or an hour and a half.)
- Preheat the oven to 410 degrees Fahrenheit for 1 hour.
- Place the loaf in the oven and bake for 20 minutes at 410F. After 20 minutes, reduce the temperature to 360°F for 45 – 50 minutes.
- Take the loaf out of the oven and allow it to cool completely before slicing it.
- You can slice the bread and store it in a tight zippered bag or a box and keep it in the freezer untill you need it.
- After slicing it, toast a slice and assemble your sandwich.
